Feature expansion at Xesar. Now also with the smartphone

The Xesar electronic locking system is simply versatile. With the new release Xesar 3.2, it has become even more versatile and remains just as easy to use. With the new Xesar app, the smartphone is now integrated as an additional access medium.

"All Xesar door components with Bluetooth functionality are ready for smartphone application after an easy-to-implement firmware update," explains Helmut Steiner, Senior Product Manager Xesar, the next phase of development in the already 10-year history of EVVA's electronic access system. In just a few words, he summarizes the new functions of the new Xesarapp: "Simply clear and intuitive."

The smartphone is the key, even at Xesar

"The days when you forgot, lost or had your key somewhere else are over," says Steiner. Because what was previously only possible with AirKey is now also possible as standard with Xesar using the new Xesar app. Smartphones compatible with the intuitive app can now also be used as access media in a Xesar system. This eliminates the need for a physical transfer of a key and saves time and money. He continues, "The key is transmitted online and the smartphone is thus the key. It is then no longer necessary to issue key rings or cards. Hiet is no need to write access media through a cipher station or physically hand them over - that saves resources and streamlines processes." The app is available for download for iOS in the Apple Store and for Android smartphones in the Google Play Store.

Clear smartphone app

The Xesar app has a clear and intuitive design and is always ready to use. You can set whether all components of an installation, or only those within range, are displayed. As soon as the app is opened, it searches for authorized components within BLE range. These are conveniently displayed and unlocked in the app. Steiner also explains the benefits of this electronic keychain: "A smartphone can be used as an access medium for multiple installations. This is especially convenient for maintenance personnel of property managers." The "key cemetery" is thus definitely a thing of the past.

Send a Key

This is made possible, among other things, with the "Send a Key" feature, which sends permissions and changes directly from the management software via SMS to iOS or Android smartphones. XMS (Xesar Mobile Service) is run in an ISO 27001-certified data center and provides secure TLS-encrypted communication between smartphone and Xesar system. Suitable for on-premise (onsite/on-site) and manual permanent opening Other benefits of the new release include the cloud-based XMS. This allows on-premise (onsite/on-site) installations to benefit from the advantages of smartphones. The Xesar system itself does not have to be in the cloud. And if you want to activate or deactivate the continuous opening at any time, you can do so in the clear submenu of the app. "It couldn't be simpler!" says Steiner confidently.
