With the new lock series 835, the panic locks 837(P) and 837(PX) and the advanced access control system SmartAccess, FUHR recently signed on to introduce a number of versatile concepts and products. At Polyclose, the German family-owned company is rightly putting them on the stage. Product Manager Benelux Marco Pels explains what makes a visit to the stand of the hardware specialist at the Ghent event more than worthwhile.
Following the motto "Solutions that put you a step ahead", FUHR proved once again at Polyclose in an inspiring environment why it can count itself among the leading developers and manufacturers of high-quality hardware solutions, access control systems and smart home products.
That happens first with the autosafe 835, a new series of automatic locking locks that can be used for multiple applications. It is a system that offers the necessary advantages and leeway, it turns out. "The autosafe 835 can be modularly built up to a smartlock," Pels said. "This is achieved by, as a first step, fitting an autosafe 835 with a retrofitable 12/24 volt autotronic motor. This allows the lock to be controlled completely electronically, for example via an intercom or card reader. At the same time, it is possible to put a communication module on it, a feature that allows you to operate the lock wirelessly via a special app, finger scan or handheld transmitter, among other things."
Another added value of the autosafe 835 lies in the fact that the system is perfectly suited for mounting on pivot doors. To meet the need for special multi-point locks, FUHR has once again set the innovation beacon. With the results that doors can be reliably locked on both sides and, perhaps even more importantly, can be operated without problems. Both from the outside and the inside.
In addition to the 835 series, FUHR is also presenting the expansion of its existing panic locks program at Polyclose. With the launch of the FUHR 837(P) and 837(PX) locks with electronically connectable door handles (which can be supplied with an electrical power supply wirelessly by means of induction technology), there is even talk of a downright world first, which can be admired live in Ghent. "We expect that from the first quarter of 2024 the first projects with these novelties can be realized," Pels looks ahead enthusiastically.
The quick and easy to install SmartAccess concept also makes a visit to the FUHR booth all the more useful. With the advanced access control system, applicable to both new and all existing motor-operated locks from FUHR, doors can be opened easily and controlled without a key and, if desired, with an app via a smartphone. What's more, no cloud registration or internet connection is required for flawless operation. All communication is via Bluetooth. "Furthermore, with SmartAcces you can operate the so-called SmartTouch door handle, a product that we can now also supply in the color matte black," says Pels, who sees the brand-new concept as a perfect addition to the current range. "We are once again leading the way in the market with this."
