5 days a vibrant heart for construction

The largest trade fair for the construction industry in the Netherlands of course again in Jaarbeurs Utrecht

"There will be 550 exhibitors and we expect about 68,000 visitors," says fair manager Joyce van de Hoef. This makes it the largest trade fair for the construction sector in the Netherlands. Literally for the entire sector, because the organization wants to make it interesting for everyone. Van de Hoef: "With the slogan 'Hart voor de Bouw' we emphasize the human aspect. We show that people have passion for the profession and how attractive construction is. This gives the people who do the work appreciation and we also hope to attract new people, since there is a shortage of skilled workers everywhere."

Feel and try

It is a trade fair for the entire construction chain, so for specifiers, clients and contractors. Everyone can see the latest developments and innovations, feel and try the newest products and get plenty of knowledge through the BouwBeurs NieuwsCafé powered by Aannemer, 2 theaters with over 120 knowledge sessions, various squares such as the Tile Square, Biobased Square, Glass Square, Wood Pavilion and the famous Heat Pump Innovation Route. During the student days on Monday, Feb. 3 and Tuesday, Feb. 4, there will be a student route. Inclusiveness is further ensured with a real Construction Women's Drink on Wednesday, Feb. 5. To liven things up even further, various construction influencers will be present at the Construction Square in collaboration with Bouwmensen. The BouwBeurs Café is mainly to chat and enjoy performances while enjoying a snack and a drink.

More and more innovations

One of the many highlights at the fair is once again this year's presentation of the BouwBeurs Awards. Three nominees for each category (environmental impact, smart & efficient and tools & professionals) will be announced in December. Van de Hoef sees considerable growth in the number of entries. "Where there were 39 in the previous edition, there are now 52. This shows that more and more innovations are being presented. We are happy to meet all these new developments and knowledge needs. On Monday, February 3, the winners will be announced."
