Once originated from an obligation in the building code: low sill systems. Over the years, wishes and requirements have changed and the further development of sill systems is naturally of great importance. The company Innodeen shared solutions is the party that innovates, together with its clients.
"Can't be done, doesn't exist!" tells an enthusiastic Ludo Schennink, commercial manager at Innodeen. "Thinking along with our clients has always been Innodeen's proven strength over the years and is more important today than ever. Innodeen puts its customers first and people have become completely accustomed to that. For example, we are often involved in innovations at an early stage, to help think about how they can be even better incorporated into the processing and assembly process. So that goes much further than just producing to customer specifications."
"The DTS Varipro Basic sill system is modular so that there is a good connection for every conceivable box filling," Ludo Schennink explains. "The basic profile runs under the entire element, and depending on the box filling, application slats are applied."
A suitable solution is available for all known profile houses. "The DTS Varipro Plus system, like the Basic line, is modular in design but is delivered ready to fit and equipped with studs for tighter lines and easy installation," Schennink said. "For the VARIPRO Plus line, the application slats are attached by means of a patented click-fit assembly."
Both Varipro lines comply with the Building Code thanks to their low step. DTS Varipro Plus, which allows us to develop a specific sill for each profile house, meets higher wind and water tightness requirements. With a number of profile houses, we are the only manufacturer able to supply the complete element under CE.
"With wood window frames, we see much more variation because joinery manufacturers profile their own frame wood," Ludo says. "Neuts for wooden window frames differ from one frame style to another. For us, none of this is a problem because it fits within our philosophy on customization, i.e. real customization. The contours of the frame styles are copied one-to-one. Different wood weights, head, lime and lead rebates, extra recesses, keeps and grooves for extra frames are no problem at all. In this way, every joinery manufacturer is free to innovate with regard to water, wind and sound-proofing and connection to the architectural framework.
Hollodeen, from which the DTS sills are manufactured, is wear- and break-resistant, fully circular and already consists of up to 90% recycled
Hollodeen. "Our DTS sills are therefore Cradle to Cradle Silver certified, among other things. We have always been working on this as a company and it is not grafted onto one product line, but the great thing is that we can demonstrate this independently with this," Schennink concludes.
