The competition "Building of the Year with Systems from Aluprof" has gained great fame in the construction industry. Since its inception 10 years ago, the competition has highlighted over a thousand remarkable buildings in Poland and abroad, highlighting architectural excellence thanks to Aluprof's innovative solutions. This prestigious event, which has awarded prizes worth a total of PLN 400,000 since its inception, has attracted more than 1,000 participants. The event has also featured discussions with renowned architects such as Bogdan Zaha, Álvaro Leite Siza, Zbigniew Maćków and Agnieszka Kalinowska-Sołtys. The fifth edition of the competition is now entering an exciting new phase.

More than 220 projects for the anniversary edition of the "Building of the Year with Systems from Aluprof" competition

On July 15, entries for the fifth edition of the prestigious competition "Building of the Year with Systems from Aluprof" closed. This year more than 220 buildings from Poland and the rest of the world were submitted, featuring the solutions of Aluprof, a leader in aluminum architectural systems. This impressive participation highlights the global success and growing reputation of the brand and the competition. During the four previous editions, nearly 600 exceptional projects were submitted, including architectural gems such as the Faculty of Applied Linguistics and Neophilology of the University of Warsaw, the Nobu Hotel Warsaw, the Brewery Complex of Warsaw, the Sara Kulturhus in Skellefteå, Green2Day in Wrocław and .KTW in Katowice. Since its second edition, the competition also includes the "Future Builders" platform, which promotes debates on the future of the construction industry. These debates have attracted more than 20 renowned specialists from the construction sector, including experts in urban planning, space sociology, building certification, and architects such as Álvaro Leite Siza Vieira, Robert Konieczny, Zbigniew Maćków, João Rodrigues, Neil Pennell and Bogdan Zaha from the famous architecture firm Zaha Hadid. The discussions during the last competition brought together more than 500 industry representatives and were broadcast live on YouTube.

Start of jury deliberations and online voting

With the end of the first phase of the competition "Building of the Year with Systems from Aluprof," the jury begins its deliberations. The jury, headed by Przemo Łukasik, co-founder of the famous architecture firm Medusa Group, includes renowned architects and professionals such as Maciej Franta, Karol Fiedor, Bożenna Wawrzyniak-Mańko, Elżbieta Dziubak and Zbigniew Poraj. At the same time, the public is invited to participate in online voting from July 16 to August 16, 2024 at https://future-builders.com/konkurs. Voters can choose their favorite project, with the most popular project winning the "Internet Prize." In addition, 10 prizes from Aluprof will be awarded to voters whose selected building wins this category.

The final gala will take place on Oct. 16. The grand finale will take place on Oct. 16, 2024, at the DoubleTree by Hilton hotel in Warsaw. During this event, the winners of the competition will be announced, with prizes of PLN 50,000 for first place, PLN 30,000 for second and PLN 15,000 for third. The evening will be preceded by the "Future Builders" international conference, where important architectural topics will be discussed with world-renowned architects and experts - the participants will be announced soon.

The competition is also supported by the SARP, the Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Poland, the PLGBC and the Association of Real Estate Developers of Poland.
