Diversity of windows in terms of shape, color and finish
People's tastes are very diverse and subject to change. We also notice this with windows, which today are integrated into the facade in the most diverse shapes, sizes, colors and finishes. SYNEGO-NL from REHAU is synonymous with total design freedom. These window profiles also carry the EcoPuls label, which means they are made of recycled materials up to 75%. This sustainability also extends to the colors and finishes of KALEIDO COLOR.
Windows don't always have to be rectangular. They can also be round or curved and feature accents such as stylistic elements, rods or creative window divisions. You have them in all kinds of sizes. With SYNEGO-NL, REHAU offers window profiles that respond perfectly to this freedom in design and layout. Moreover, the manufacturer has invested heavily for over 30 years to make the production of its windows and doors sustainable. They continuously optimize resource use and energy efficiency in their production facilities and products.
"Thanks to a unique extrusion process, we can produce profiles whose core is made of recycled plastic. EcoPuls profiles already consist of 40 to 75 % of recycled material, and that percentage will only increase in the future. By using that material, up to 97,000 tons of CO2-emissions saved," says Koen Schepens, sales manager Window Solutions Benelux at REHAU. "In our recycling facilities, some 70,000 tons of old material is reused annually for the production of new PVC profiles. Compared to standard production of new full-core PVC, 88 % produces less CO2 generated. Plastic, by the way, can be recycled and reprocessed at least 7 times with us."
The story of design, design freedom and durability continues in the High-Definition-Finishing (HDF) technology, which provides very smooth, dense profile surfaces, and the colors from the KALEIDO COLOR range. This allows architects, processors and building owners to give free rein to their creativity: classic white or black, warm wood motifs, aluminum looks, glossy finishes, traditional with foil or sprayed design. The color on the inside and outside can even be different, for example anthracite on the outside and classic white on the inside. The inside of the profile can also be sprayed, so that one sees the same color when the window or door is opened.
REHAU offers an unprecedented range of design possibilities. KALEIDO COVER represents aluminum faceplates, allowing one to combine the look of aluminum profiles with the technical advantages of plastic frames. They are painted, powder coated or anodized. KALEIDO WOODEC with a pronounced wooden look and feel, a matte finish and deep relief ensures that one can hardly distinguish PVC and wooden windows.
"KALEIDO FOIL is a proven technique with a two-layer PVC film: a base film in the desired color and a transparent top layer, which protects against discoloration and environmental influences. Finally, there is our high-quality paint applied in several layers with a gloss or matte finish - smooth or textured - in virtually all RAL colors and much more. KALEIDO PAINT, accounting for more than 2,000 different colors, gives profiles a unique look and ensures maximum protection and color fastness. The finish is scratch and impact resistant, weather and temperature resistant and easy to clean," Schepens concludes. "By the way, these paints are CO2-neutral production. Their proven sustainability was awarded the Cradle-2-Cradle Silver certificate. We also use a new water-based lacquering process, which reduces the use of solvents. It is clear: new windows and doors are an investment for the future. The highest level in terms of quality and sustainability is therefore a priority."
