Joining forces between window hardware and window automation

In 2023, MACO and HAUTAU joined forces. At Fensterbau Frontale, this joining of forces became visible to the general public for the first time. "Through the combination of window automation and sliding systems, customers now have one partner for everything related to hardware to close the building envelope," says Harold Wisselink Managing Director Benelux MACO. 

Scholarship motto #togetherwematter

The trade fair slogan '#togetherwematter' is thereby guiding which way the company wants to go in the coming years, explains Petra Janßen, Head of Communications MACO Salzburg: "The new Matter communication standard could well revolutionize the field of Smart Home. MACO, as a hardware manufacturer, is part of this and is presenting a series of Matter-enabled sensors here at the fair under the name "Sense by MACO. These guarantee easy connection, both for the processor and the end customer."

Name change 'MACO Move PS'

The close cooperation between MACO and HAUTAU also shows the first joint results in the product portfolio. For example, from now on all sliding products will bear the product designation 'Move'. 'A first example of this name change is our proven HAUTAU Move hardware, which will be called 'MACO Move PS' in the future and thus repositioned,'" Harold clarified. "The other product lines in sliding systems will then follow step by step."

MOVE HS runner

One of the products resulting from the cooperation between MACO and HAUTAU that was also shown at Fensterbau Frontale is MACO's Move HS runner. "HAUTAU solutions such as the HS Comfort Drive also add value to the MACO range," continued Harold. "What began years ago as a collaboration between two independent companies - with the keyword being sliding-tilt hardware - is now a partnership on all levels. We are delighted that our customers are responding positively to the fusion of MACO and HAUTAU's experts into one team. The alliance between MACO and HAUTAU offers advantages for further developments within the range, which therefore also benefits customers."

INSTINCT: revolutionary locking system

Just because of the many thousands of trade visitors, MACO can SPEAK of a successful Fensterbau Frontale. Among other things, there was a lot of interest in the INSTINCT, MACO's revolutionary locking system. "The INSTINCT is our flagship product," says Dirk Zwaan, Product Manager Protect from MACO Benelux. "This product offers a solution for locking and unlocking a door in a way that has never been seen before. What is unique is that the individual locking components can be flexibly placed in the door. Together, they form a complete electronic multi-point locking system that eliminates the need for a locking cylinder and door handle. In fact, this is a whole new way of thinking about how to design a door. It offers unprecedented design freedom!"
