Two strong brands for profile machine tools on one booth
The competencies present in PVC machining within the Voilàp group have been merged under a new brand name: (someco). This project combines the experience of two teams: one from Germany in the field of machining centers and the other from Italy focusing on seamless welding and traditional welding and polishing. At Polyclose, the machines of (someco) will be presented alongside those of elumatec, which also belongs to the Voilàp group.
The elumatec brand has long been known as one of the world's leading manufacturers of machines for machining aluminum, plastic and thin-walled steel profiles. The manufacturer's range of products therefore includes several machining centers for a wide variety of applications. "
PVC is almost always used for windows and doors, and we also offer a complete range of systems for machining such profiles: from simple machines to complete machining lines. For the large installations there, we invariably worked together with a large German manufacturer," says Bas Ladestein, managing director of elumatec Benelux BV.
"However, it was recently decided to take a different approach by launching within the Voilàp group the new brand (someco), which will focus entirely on the supply of machines for processing PVC profiles: for the smaller processor, but also for larger automated window and door manufacturers. In addition, all systems will now be manufactured in-house."
Actually, the name someco, which is placed in the logo between two brackets, has long been part of the group's heritage, as the brand has been known for its innovative and high-quality solutions in the field of PVC welding since the 1970s. "Within this new project, teams with extensive experience in their fields are working together. Thus, from Germany, the group has extensive know-how in machining centers, which is combined here with the knowledge of seamless welding and traditional welding and polishing, which comes from Italy," the managing director continued.
"Here, too, innovation is central. For example, the welding machines are equipped with the complicated 'seamless technology', which allows all types of profiles to be welded, without having to be post-treated on a polishing machine."
The program of (someco) includes sawing and processing machines, welding and polishing machines, but also includes systems for assembly and logistics, all according to the requirements prevalent within Industry 4.0. For example, the fast PVC downstream machining centers SBZ608, SBZ609 and SBZ625 are used for drilling and milling all types of window and door profiles and simultaneously for screwing steel reinforcements. Due to the portal design, the machines are extremely suitable for profiles with large cross-sections and process-optimized material flow.
"SVL4H/4A is a welding and polishing combination for PVC profiles, which consists of the SM 4H horizontal welding machine including an element outfeed unit, a cooling zone and rotary table, the 4-axis angle polisher (4A) and finally the in-line output table. The SM H4 is a fully digital horizontal CNC machine for welding PVC profiles, available in two versions: 3500 x 2700 mm and 2500 x 2700 mm. It can be equipped with optional welding blocks for standard and seamless welding (seamless welding), including acrylic and coated profiles," Bas Ladestein concludes.
"Other machines in the program include the polishing machines of the EV series, sawing machines (GLS192 and DG142XL) and different types of milling centers, wing stop assembly lines, assembly tables, buffer systems, profile carts and chip extraction systems. In short: a complete assortment for the machining of PVC profiles. At our stand during Polyclose, we will demonstrate both machines from (someco) and machining centers from elumatec."
