Accent to supply of machinery for machining mainly plastic and aluminum profiles
At Kruba, the professional and reliable supplier of machines for the processing of plastic, aluminum and wood, development and innovation has been second nature since its founding in 1955. Added to the wide delivery program, expert advice and outstanding service, this trait makes the company a renowned player in the machine world. "With customization and a far-reaching personal approach, we make the difference," believes director/owner Cees van Essen.
Quality and variety form a rock-solid combination at Baarn-based Kruba. "We supply the complete package," says Van Essen. "From simple standard machines to highly advanced, high-quality CNC-controlled machining centers, production and logistics lines. And everything in between. New and used. Furthermore, we supply purely top brands, such as Urban, Thorwesten, Pertici, Rapid, Maka, Italmac and Graule. A list that we fittingly conclude with our house brand Kruba."
Did Kruba mainly serve the woodworking industry in the early days, over the years the emphasis shifted more and more to the supply of machines for processing mainly plastic and also aluminum profiles. "Since then, we have equipped all the necessary companies for window frame production," Van Essen looks back.
"Parallel to this was the continuous further development and innovation of our solutions. In recent years, for example, we have made considerable strides when it comes to HVL, the Wood-Verb-Look."
The results include the Kruba 4024/2-HVL and the Kruba 6024/4-HVL, two extremely robust, flexible machining centers that can be used for the production of various profile systems and ditto combinations. For example, both universal machines are suitable for machining both 90 and 45 degree cut profiles for HVL joints. To this end, they have at their disposal a fully assembled and fully automatic tool change magazine that automatically performs all operations for the requested HVL joint. "With the 6024, our flagship, this is even possible in series of as many as eight profiles," he continues. "In addition, this machining center is equipped with automatic tool change magazines for eighteen tool locations. For both machines, we include the required tools and software."
While the two technical marvels were initially developed for making HVL joints, they have more goodies under the "hood. Van Essen: "The machines are perfectly suited for making straight-angle connections. Furthermore, it is possible to mill intermediate uprights to make contramal connections in the frame. Another functionality that has been implemented in both centers since the end of last year concerns machining so that a seamless welded joint can be made at a later stage. Furthermore, together with a customer we have come up with a nice piece of technology, which makes the HVL joint machinable on the machine such that you can mechanically join the corners. So a welded joint is no longer necessary in that case."
Total solution for milling and drilling
In addition to the Kruba 4024/2 and 6024/4, Van Essen says the CNC machining center Thorwesten PBZ-4 deserves special mention. Likewise suitable for all plastic profile systems, this highly productive milling, drilling and screw machining center can be supplied by Kruba with either left- or right-hand feed as well as front feed and rear output. "Furthermore, we can equip this powerhouse with an external screw unit and/or combine it with a sawing center for PVC profile components," says Van Essen. "Two extras that increase the already impressive production capacity even further."
