Vacuum cleaner promotes safety
Topspin Powertools BV of Stadskanaal is presenting at Polyclose 2024 its latest addition to their already wide range of vacuum pistons. The AUTOVAC Plus is a portable pump vacuum that can be used to lift glass, ceramics and other materials with a non-porous surface up to 75 kilograms. "The beauty of this piston is that the device automatically reaches and maintains the desired vacuum level," says Arnoud Wientjes, director of Topspin Powertools. "You turn it on and the AUTOVAC Plus does the rest."
Topspin Powertools BV is a trading company that has focused on compact vacuum lifting systems, especially hand-held models. "We have been active with lifting aids for the construction industry for over 20 years," said Wientjes. "In 2018, I came across the GRABO at an International Trade Fair, a fully electric vacuum hand lifter that is suitable for lifting materials that also have a non-level surface, such as natural stone, tiles, checker plate or raw wood. We then invested in this product and started marketing it as an exclusive importer for all of Europe. This became a success: some 200,000 machines are now in use."
The added value of Topspin Powertools is that the company adapts existing quality products for the specific markets. "We know the needs in the market and the issues they face on a daily basis," Wientjes continued. "Together with the manufacturer, we adapt products to meet that demand. The latest result of this is the AUTOVAC Plus, a hand vacuum with a 3.7 Volt li-ion battery that automatically creates the set vacuum level and ensures this level is held. The green display shows the vacuum level and the red display shows the battery level. As soon as the vacuum drops to 0.5 bar, AUTOVAC Plus automatically adjusts the vacuum and switches off again automatically when the required vacuum is reached. This makes working much safer."
The AUTOVAC Plus is suitable for lifting glass, ceramic tiles and all other objects with a smooth and non-porous surface up to a WLL weight of 75 kilograms (with a safety factor of 2). Wientjes: "Think of doors, countertops, slabs of natural stone and glass. This hand vacuum is also very suitable for slightly curved surfaces, such as car windows. For smaller work in construction, you can clamp two in a bracket. We have modified this device so that it has the same dimensions as a standard pump vacuum. As a result, the AUTOVAC Plus can often be combined with most lifting and transport equipment commonly used in construction and industry."
The new hand vacuum operates on an internal lithium battery that is easy to charge via a USB-C Port. This can be connected, for example, to a 12 V socket of a car. With one charge of 8 to 10 hours, one can use the AUTOVAC Plus continuously for 48 hours. The device is available through one of 3,500 dealers across Europe.
