What is Compodeen? Compodeen is the material name for bio-based composites. Compodeen - WFC (Wood Fibre Composite), is used for cladding, bank revetment and (emergency) housing, among other things. It consists of 72% wood fiber derived from PEFC certified residual streams. The wood is ground and sieved and only fibers of a certain length and thickness are processed. In a patented process, the wood fibers are positioned longitudinally, giving the material its unique strength.
Under the name: DBP - Siding, Innodeen supplies low-maintenance cladding. "We have six different natural shades in two different versions. A brushed variant and a variant with wood grain," says the down-to-earth but enthusiastic Beverborg. "Should people still prefer a different color, a transparent stain or opaque RAL color can be chosen on a project basis. In short, available in all the colors of the rainbow.
The siding requires no treatment and has the unique feature of natural aging, just like traditional wood." Siding can be installed horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
"For earth, road and water construction, we also supply shoring made of Compodeen. These are hollow wall profiles that are tapered and interlocked on one side," said Beverborg. "The application of Compodeen WFC started years ago with the production of bank protection. In the search for alternatives to tropical hardwood, bio-composite profiles were developed. We succeeded in producing high-quality products with unique sustainable properties for these applications."
Lochem-based Innodeen specializes in the development and production of smart applications. In doing so, they provide products with added value to relieve clients and end users.
"In addition to Compodeen, Innodeen works with three other material groups," says Jos Beverborg, Technical Sales Advisor at Innodeen. Hollodeen is the group name for thermoplastics, Durodeen for thermosets and Eelodeen for all elastomers. "All of our products are distinguished by reuse and sustainable applications. Where other materials fall short in terms of rotting, wear and durability, our innovative strength comes to life."
Innodeen is known for working with clients to develop the best possible sustainable solutions and alternatives for a variety of applications. "We like to be challenged. The developers in our R&D department are ready for you!", adds Beverborg.
