Versatile and quick-to-assemble balustrade system for public areas

Glass balustrade systems should provide maximum transparency. In addition, their installation must be both safe and intuitive, and preferably also time-saving and manual. Thanks to a newly developed and patented adjustment mechanism, Bohle's VetroMount® range of floor profiles meets these requirements in full. Even when higher linear loads are required. This is ensured by the new VetroMount® heavy duty series, the attractive floor profile developed specifically to increase safety within public areas.

"This system, a perfect extension of the existing VetroMount® program, we developed specifically to meet the increased demands in public spaces, meeting places and coastal areas, among others," said Frank Bouwman, general manager within Bohle Benelux. "This is particularly evident in the numerical specifications. With a 95-millimeter wide U-floor profile and special glass clamps, it is possible to attach glass plates from 21.52 to 25.52 millimeters thick and up to 1.30 meters high with this powerhouse. Thereby, the double linear load of 2kN is extremely impressive and guarantees safe use. Even at high horizontal loads."

Quick installation

Assembly of the new VetroMount® U heavy duty can be done in a short time. The floor mounting with concrete screws and the extensively proven VetroMount® glass carriers contribute to this in particular. "The ingenious glass clamping system ensures that the panes can be mounted from the drop side," Bouwman continues. "Furthermore, they are infinitely adjustable and can be quickly removed in case of breakage." 

The latter in particular makes this VetroMount® variant ideal for locations temporarily exposed to high loads. Such as shopping malls, auditoriums, train stations and stadiums. And because the eye wants something too, this product extension is characterized by a more than attractive appearance. Just like the other variants within the product family. "The name VetroMount® cleverly combines speed, safety, efficiency and design," summarizes Bouwman. "That makes this system an attractive alternative for a variety of modern architectural projects."

Sustainable

Building houses or flats and providing renewable energy sources are increasingly going hand in hand. VetroMount® meets that particular development as well, according to Bouwman's story. 

"Wherever glass windows are used as balustrades, you can use photovoltaics. That is why, in addition to the normal version, we also have a model available for anyone who depends on solar energy that is suitable for up to 1.30 high photovoltaic glass. WITHOUT the required cabling and junction boxes being visible. Where previously you needed conspicuous hand rails that also had to be connected to the building because of the cables, Bohle's basic profile offers an optimal cabling option. Perfectly concealed, but always accessible and realizable with unobtrusive edge protection. All you need is a small spacer block in the profile. After that, nothing stands in the way of sustainable energy generation."
