For years, Deceuninck has been working towards a sustainable future. The company does not leave it at words alone, as its own recycling plant in Diksmuide, Belgium - which can recycle up to 40,000 tons of plastic per year - is among the largest in the Benelux.
At Deceuninck's booth at Fensterbau Frontale, sustainability was also the talk of the day. "What we get confirmed once again at this fair is that the Netherlands is a real forerunner when it comes to recycling," says Erwin de Voys, commercial director for the Netherlands at Deceuninck. "At Deceuninck, too, everything to do with sustainability and circularity is taking on increasingly concrete forms." Erwin is referring, among other things, to the Phoenix range , consisting of 100 % recycled frame and door profiles. "With Phoenix, we have our first profiles made of 100 percent recycled plastic. Just like a phoenix rises from its own ashes, this range represents the rebirth of old materials into new ones."
Thanks to this strong focus on sustainability, Deceuninck is optimally prepared for the future, in which using a maximum percentage of recycled material will become the norm. Erwin: "This is not surprising when you consider that plastic recycling requires as much as 90 percent less energy compared to producing new raw material!"
