Whether cybercrime, intrusion protection or access control: the topic of security is more topical than ever. Not for nothing are as many as 500 exhibitors expected at the Security Messe in Essen, Germany, from September 17 to 20.
This leading trade fair for the security industry showcases all innovations and developments in the industry. At the same time, the Messe is celebrating its fiftieth anniversary. What began in 1974 with 105 exhibitors and about 1,000 visitors has since grown into an international success story. Today, Security Essen is the comprehensive platform and indispensable meeting place for the security industry. Trade visitors from all over the world can look forward to an extensive range of offerings. Some 500 exhibitors from more than 30 countries present their solutions in the following fields, among others:
- Access/mechatronics/mechanics/systems;
- Perimeter;
- Fire/intrusion/systems;
- Digital network security;
- Civil Defense;
- Special protection vehicles;
- Video.
At Security Essen, both market leaders and niche players will demonstrate their latest offerings to the international trade audience. At the same time, Security Essen also offers newly established companies the opportunity to promote and market their products internationally.
At the joint "Young Innovators" booth, start-ups will show, among other things, how AI robots can take over certain surveillance tasks, which furniture makes penitentiaries safe while looking stylish, and how users can best protect their passwords.
A comprehensive fringe program, which offers added value for all trade visitors, completes Security Essen. A brief overview of the program offerings:
- New is the first European Drone Conference, premiering September 19-20. Here the main focus is on innovative applications and safety aspects in view of drone technology;
- The Training and Continuing Education Day on Sept. 17 is aimed at young talents and specialists;
- Urgent digital security issues will be addressed at the DNS Digital Networking Security. This will include intelligence and crime analyst Mark T. Hoffmann sharing his insights into the psychology of cyber-crime in his lecture "Profiling Hackers.
- In recent years, spectacular attempted robberies of financial institutions have often made the news. During "The Day of Banks and Savings Banks" on Sept. 19, it will become clear how these institutions can protect themselves.
Renowned partners of these theme days are the Federal Security Industry Association BDSW, the International Physical Security Industry Association ESSA, the Confederation of European Security Services CoESS, Datakontext and kes, the trade magazine for IT security. The presentations will take place in the exhibition halls and are included in the ticket price.
Security Essen will take place from Tuesday, September 17 to Friday, September 20, 2024 at Messe Essen.
