With AcrylColor, proCoverTec and its decor film systems, plastic profile supplier Kömmerling Nederland has a suitable answer in house for truly every color request. The AcrylColor coloring system is a well-known system from Kömmerling Netherlands, which was returned to the range in late 2023 after increasing demand from architects and clients. "What is unique about AcrylColor is that the acrylic color layer is extruded along with the profiles," says Van Overdijk. "The color finish is therefore inseparable from the profile. This creates an extremely robust and solid color finish, with high scratch resistance and long-term color fastness. With AcrylColor, building owners can enjoy their window systems for years to come. Even in locations prone to vandalism." 

At present, the AcrylColor color system is only available in combination with the K-VISION Trend profiles. A conscious choice, according to Van Overdijk, because by far the majority of projects are carried out with these. "Should demand for AcrylColor in combination with our other profile systems increase in the future, we may be able to adapt these molds as well. We are following the demand from the market." The AcrylColor color system is available in six standard colors. Specific project colors are available upon request.   

360° color finishing

For those looking for a luxurious matte look and feel, Kömmerling Netherlands offers the proCoverTec color system. "proCoverTec is available in 25 standard colors, including four metallic trend colors (Bronze, Silver, Iron and Titanium)," says Van Overdijk. "But on request, almost any color is possible. The revolutionary paint system can be applied to the outside, inside and inside the frame rebate (360°), achieving an even fancier look. This is unique in the market."

proCoverTec is already available for profile badges as small as 1,000 linear meters. This also makes the system very accessible for smaller projects starting from ten homes. "Moreover, the color system is the solution for everyone who chooses frame profiles made of 100% recycled PVC. Our K-VISION ReFrame profile comes exclusively and only with proCoverTec finish. This combination guarantees excellent UV resistance, exceptional IR reflection and a beautiful matte finish. Unexpected damages in the paint system can easily be repaired by spot repair, after which the frame looks like new again."

Extensive range of films 

Kömmerling Nederland's color range is rounded out by an extensive range of UV-resistant films in a variety of colors and textures. From extremely smooth foils to (wood) grain structures or metallic foils, says Van Overdijk. "Our foils always fit everywhere. Regardless of whether architects and clients choose our K-VISION Classic, Trend, Cube and Cube-City series. Thanks to more than 40 years of project experience, they also benefit from a proven quality and lifespan of up to 75 years. At the end of this service life, the profile systems can be efficiently separated, enabling clean and high-quality recycling."

Kömmerling Nederland's foil range includes approximately eighty standard colors, with which both large and small numbers of profiles can be aesthetically enriched. "In addition, architects and clients have the choice of approximately seventy project-specific colors. In short: the possibilities are endless.
