World player Bohle celebrates centennial anniversary

From a one-man business to a global player with about four hundred employees in more than fourteen locations worldwide. The German family-owned company Bohle is celebrating its centennial and proudly looking back on an eventful past. With tireless entrepreneurial spirit, good ideas and a focus on customer satisfaction, Bohle has shaped the glass processing industry and paved the way for the future.

Since its founding by Josef Bohle on December 10, 1923, the family business has evolved from a local manufacturer of cutting wheels for cutting glass to a global enterprise and Europe's leading manufacturer and supplier of glass-related products. With a portfolio of glass fittings and railing systems, products for industrial glass cutting, vacuum technology products and workshop supplies - as well as numerous pioneering innovations - Bohle AG is one of the most influential pioneers in the glass industry.
The company invented or took to the next level many of the things that make up the glass industry today. Thus, Bohle has enriched the glass industry with a wealth of pioneering products. The glass specialist exports its innovative product solutions to more than one hundred countries, targeting artisans, industry, wholesalers and specialist retailers. 

Special spirit

The centennial anniversary not only marks a special milestone in the company's history, but is also a tribute to the courageous entrepreneurial spirit that has characterized Bohle AG from the very beginning. Even in 2023, this is still a fundamental part of the company's DNA. All new developments are never an end in themselves, but are always closely tailored to customer needs. The decisive factor here is the company's own employees. Well-trained, committed and with the right attitude. A team that works together every day, continuously tries to improve and sees mistakes as an opportunity to grow. This special Bohle spirit that was felt from the beginning still makes the difference today. 

Sustainable vision of the future

The centennial anniversary is not only an occasion par excellence to celebrate the past, but also to look into the future. Today, Bohle is a healthy family business that has not lost its innovative strength over the years and is aware of its great responsibility to the company, its employees, customers, suppliers and society. Bohle therefore supports social projects and is committed to equal opportunities and partnership. Sustainability also plays an increasingly important role. For example, extensive modernization measures will begin in the buildings at the Haan headquarters in the fall of 2023. Also, in the future, a large part of the electricity requirement at the site will be CO₂-neutral are generated by the in-house photovoltaic system. 

In the years to come, Bohle will continue to shape and drive the glass processing industry with its strong commitment to quality and the pursuit of ever better product solutions. So says Arne Klöfkorn, CEO of the family business and husband of Ulrich Bohle's youngest daughter.
