Roll tape hinge for block profiles

Block profiles are the main feature of Dutch joinery. The narrow front view gives the element an elegant appearance. At the same time, these profiles place special requirements on the shape and fastening of door hinges. Until now, exterior door sashes have been fitted with surface-mounted hinges such as the KT-B 6R.

Now, as an innovation leader, Dr. Hahn presents a slim Rollenband hinge for block profiles with exterior door sashes for all common brands on the Dutch market. With this "Rollenband NL" we have an answer to the market demand for Rollenband hinges on external hinged plastic doors.

Elegant and form-fitting

The new 3-piece hinge is 140 mm high with a diameter of only 22 mm. The wing part is fixed in the overlay and in the hardware groove, achieving great stability. The wing part is C-shaped made of one piece. With 50 mm long fixing screws - even with very high insulation chambers - it is connected tightly to the reinforcement in the sash profile.

This sophisticated method of fastening allows the hinge part to be fastened to the sash profile so strongly that the external seal is not interrupted and the thermal insulation properties of the profile remain unchanged.

Tested for increased burglary protection

Since all hinges, applied on the Dutch market, must meet the high requirements of the Europe-wide recognized testing institute SKG (Stichting Kwaliteit Gevelbouw), the Rollenband NL has also been tested and approved in accordance with the Building Decree requirements. A newly designed steel thief's claw is fixed under the hinge with a fastening element adapted to the profile system. On the opposite side, the steel pin falls into a security rosette and thus deals with burglary in a solid way. The Rollenband NL thus managed to convince in the challenging tests and received the KOMO product certificate with 2 stars for burglar-resistant door hinges.

3-dimensional adjustable

As it is usual with Hahn hinges, the assembly is easily and smoothly adjustable in the workshop. The hinge is adjustable in 6 directions :

• Height adjustment : +/- 3 mm
• Horizontal adjustment : +/- 2.5 mm
• Pressure adjustment : +/- 0.7 mm

For the most frequent profile series

All adjustments are possible by one person without loosening the fixing screws. The Rollenband NL can be used DIN left and DIN right. When using 3 hinges, the load capacity is 120 kg, depending on the profiles. Currently, the most common profile systems and their most commonly used profile series are served. Further adaptations are in preparation.

Quick disassembly

The through pin can be removed to disassemble the sash on site. All presets are retained when the sash is later re-hung. The bearing bushing made of high-quality special material is virtually wear-free as well as maintenance-free even at very high door weights and high frequency.

Wide color choice

The slim impression of the door hinge is additionally supported by the extensive color selection including scratch-resistant silver anodization (EV1). The Rollenband NL is mainly used in high-quality private residential construction but also finds its application in commercial construction. For those processing our hinges without a machining center, Dr. Hahn offers the appropriate drilling jigs.
