This completely unique solution from SIEGENIA offers manufacturers tangible added value: we are talking about the BS 3700 automatic multipoint lock for doors of all types of materials. A truly unique feature of the innovative multi-point lock is the integrated self-adjusting mechanism with locking elements and swivel hooks. Thanks to the intelligent construction of the elements and the corresponding frame parts, within the functional dimensions of the door, troublesome on-site adjustments - for example, due to critical installation situations or thermal influences - are unnecessary throughout the life cycle of the door. This provides door manufacturers with significant time and cost savings.
The principle of the BS 3700 automatic multi-point locking system is as simple as it is effective: if the bolted locking elements come to a standstill before they reach the end position - for example, due to tolerances when sliding into the frame section - they are locked by a back-pressure safety device. This holds the door leaf in position and guarantees secure locking. The automatic 20 mm locking of the swivel hook and deadbolt also ensures a high degree of security even from 35 mm backset. In addition to the three locking points, the possibility of activating the child safety device provides reassuring security.
It is activated via the profile cylinder and serves to block the door handle. The door also opens effortlessly and smoothly, because the low-friction material combinations used in the BS 3700 multi-point automatic locking system are designed for maximum operating comfort. This can be further optimized, if required, by installing an A-opener that opens the door electromechanically.
The new BS 3700 automatic multi-point lock also offers excellent flexibility. All upgrades can be used in any combination, allowing manufacturers to configure the multi-point lock as required to meet end-user needs - from the optional A-opener or gap holder to the faceplate extension for doors up to 3m high. The TA day release also offers additional design freedom and is also suitable for retrofitting.
Door manufacturers benefit from the BS 3700 automatic multipoint lock's advanced manufacturing and assembly features. For example, the DIN direction can be changed quickly and easily by simply using the deadbolt of the main lock. Replacing previously fitted key-operated and automatic multi-point locks (AS2xxx, BS2xxx or AS3xxx) is also simple. In addition to replacing the existing multi-point lock with the new BS 3700, only the Q-adjustments in the frame parts need to be removed and replaced with F-fills.
