At Polyclose from January 17 to 19, 2024, software company Orgadata will show how window, door and facade construction can benefit from digitization. The focus will include sophisticated cooperation between all parties involved and integrated planning. Orgadata's Building Information Modeling (BIM) tool and the new SimplyTag software solution will help with this.
So at Polyclose, the company will present its Logikal software, which has been simplifying and improving the construction of windows, doors and facades for decades. Logikal is the market leader that allows craftsmen to easily digitize the production of windows, doors and facades. From the idea to the finished element, the software supports them in every step of the process. The added value: Logikal is not manufacturer-specific and offers the largest database for profiles, hardware and accessories on the market. The best windows, doors and facades are created almost anywhere in the world with Orgadata's program.
Orgadata is, of course, bringing the latest version of Logikal to Polyclose. "With the 12 version, we have completely rebuilt the software. This means, for example, that we have rebuilt the project center, introduced a new 3D view in the element input, further improved the operating concept and much more," says Paul Thyssen of Orgadata, who is eager to hear the reactions of visitors to Polyclose. The software expert emphasizes in particular the new look of Logikal in the 12 version. The visual aspect and operating concept have been adapted from current Microsoft Office products to make navigation as simple and clear as possible.
"Users are already familiar with the way Office solutions work. And that is of course a big advantage," assures Paul. According to him, no major adjustment is needed because everything is even faster and more intuitive to use in the new version of Logikal.
Logikal 12 also includes a tool for the BIM working method, which brings experts from different disciplines to the virtual planning table. "This benefits not only window, door and facade manufacturers, but also architects and planners. And above all, this improves the teamwork of those involved. During 2024, we will offer architects and planners an additional tool free of charge," Paul reveals. "This will allow them to export the various positions for windows, doors and facades from the component-oriented 3D building models supported by Revit. The window manufacturers can later import the data from the architects and planners into their Logikal software to plan and manufacture with Logikal from then on. They receive the data directly in their Logikal environment and no longer need to manually and individually enter basic information such as window size into the software. This saves an enormous amount of time and protects against transfer errors. The overall process quality is thus greatly improved."
Collaboration between all involved is also enhanced with Orgadata's new SimplyTag. "This allows all production data to be linked directly to a window, accessible via a QR code and password," Paul explains. "Among other things, the SimplyTag supports CE labeling and possible maintenance and repairs after the fact. For example, if a window is broken, no one has to drive to the customer to measure the window. All information about the window can be transmitted through the QR code. For example, what type of glass it is, how wide or high the window is and much more. The data comes automatically from Logikal. Of course, this is also good for long-term customer loyalty," Paul emphasizes. "Because it optimizes cooperation with those responsible for subsequent maintenance. They can quickly identify each individual element. In addition, the documentation of the components will take care of itself in the future, since everything is recorded digitally."
Orgadata's program at Polyclose concluded with presentations on Logikal MES. According to Paul, this production control system is an ideal complement to the Logikal software. "The software controls and digitizes the processes in production halls of window, door and facade builders. And also enables safe and paperless production. In short, we have plenty of interesting topics in store for visitors at Polyclose. See you in advance at the trade fair!"
