For the frame and facade industry, Innodeen supplies innovative solutions that stand out in terms of applicability and sustainability. Also at Polyclose, the Achterhoek company presents itself with various environmentally friendly products, including the DTS VARIPRO sill system and the DBP SIDING facade cladding. Commercial-technical consultant Roald Haneveld and account manager Marcel Willemsen give a brief explanation in advance.
In cooperation with the plastic and aluminum frame industry, Innodeen developed the DTS VARIPRO sill system. "This sill is manufactured from Hollodeen; this material consists of up to 90 percent recycled material and is 100 percent recyclable," says Roald. "The DTS sills are therefore fully circular and cradle-to-cradle certified. Used sills can very easily and efficiently serve as the base material for new sills. This system, which complies with the Buildings Decree and has been approved for wind and water tightness, is universally applicable for all profile houses."
Besides being fully recyclable, the material offers other important advantages, according to Roald: "For example, it is wear-resistant, unbreakable, colored through-and-through, has a high insulation value and prevents cold bridges. Incidentally, our quality is also underlined by the partnership that Innodeen recently entered into with VKG, the quality mark for plastic window frames."
Another example of sustainability with which Innodeen is making a big splash at Polyclose is DBP SIDING, a cladding made from 100 percent residual waste. "This biobased composite Compodeen WFC is reusable multiple times at the end of its service life and thus has a permanent CO2 storage," Marcel explains. "The fully circularly applicable Compodeen consists of 70 percent wood fiber and 30 percent plastic. These two materials are combined and extruded under high pressure. As a result, weather influences have no negative impact on the lifespan. The wood fiber comes from old pallets, packaging material, unpainted scrap wood and PEFC-certified residual streams, among others. Thanks to the wood fiber, untreated Compodeen experiences natural aging - without risk of degradation. The remaining component - polypropylene - is one of the most environmentally friendly plastics available because it is easily recyclable. This 'post consumer waste' comes from the familiar PMD bin or bag."
As cladding, Compodeen is ideal because of several unique product properties, Marcel emphasizes. "For example, this biobased composite has high rigidity, is wear- and shape-resistant, permanently skid-resistant, antistatic and does not splinter."
The DBP SIDING cladding bears the KOMO seal of approval and is delivered by Innodeen to size. "This allows the processor to have as little construction waste as possible," Marcel continues. "And for companies that purchase full lengths and cut them to size themselves, we supply big bags that collect the residual waste as raw material for new cladding."
"In addition to DBP SIDING and DTS VARIPRO, we are also showing DBP standing frames," Roald adds in conclusion. "The structural frames are made of Durodeen, a weather-resistant material with an exceptionally high insulation value. It can be processed and worked like wood, but has the advantages of plastic. These adjustment frames are also made from recycled plastic."
'Your circularity ambition: our mission' is the theme with which Innodeen presents itself at Polyclose.
