J.P.M. Kok of Soest has been a leading wholesaler of quality building hardware systems since 1935. The range consists mainly of hardware for frames, windows and doors, which are sourced from renowned manufacturers in Sweden, Germany, England, Italy and China. Many products are certified according to ISO 9001 and the Police Mark Safe Living.
J.P.M. Kok represents products by, among others, HABO, HAKO, PN, WINLOCK, GSG, Frank Allart, Giesse, Requitti, Allwin, ERA, SWF, AH and Schlegel, many of which have been specially developed or adapted for the Dutch market. A specification description of several products is available on the website, which you can easily import into your specification program.
"With Schlegel we offer a comprehensive range of high-quality sealing products," says Frank Kok, who runs the trading company together with his brother Genio. "The delivery program can be divided into the four product groups Q-Lon polyurethane foam seals, Q-Lon fire-retardant seals, Polybond brush seals and extruded seals, with which any type of window or door can be sealed simply, quickly and permanently. This enables substantial energy savings."
Those who choose Q-Lon draught excluder profiles also benefit from unique features such as unmatched long-term rebound. "Where other profiles have a rebound of approximately 50%, the Q-Lon profiles achieve as much as 80 to 90%! A significant difference, which is demonstrated in the KOMO product certificate."
Sustainability has been a central theme of J.P.M. Kok's business operations for many years. "In 2004 we built new premises in Soest, which still meets today's requirements," says Kok. "We strive for a waste-free enterprise and place high emphasis on recycling and reuse. But sustainability goes further and, in our view, also relates to our products and relationships. Both with employees and with suppliers, of which Schlegel is a fine example."
The partnership with Schlegel dates back to 2012, Kok says. "Schlegel is part of the listed TYMAN Group, where sustainability and minimizing environmental impact are also high on the agenda. The sustainable commitment is summarized in a number of objectives based on the safety and health of employees, their working environment and the products. In order to prevent employees from coming into contact with hazardous or harmful substances, the product composition is looked at explicitly. We also actively seek ways to work with recycled materials and/or make products suitable for recycling and even upcycling. Since 2021, the TYMAN Group has been Cradle to Cradle Silver certified."
"The next ambition is Gold, which means that the sustainable goals and products are actually implemented, promoted and monitored. For this, TYMAN Group and Schlegel maintain close contact with their suppliers and partners, such as J.P.M. Kok. We are extremely proud to be part of this vision of the future. But also that Schlegel products have been a fixture in our extensive product range for years."
