Innovative hardware opens, with only one drive closes and locks windows 

Open, close and lock... The new SBS Comfort Drive from HAUTAU, a MACO Group company, does it all with just one drive. This innovative solution combines a hardware slider and an electric motor in a compact housing. It is integrated in installations for building security and fire protection, but can also be used in many other applications.

The innovative scissor geometry and a very large opening angle ensure optimized airflow and, in the event of an emergency, such as a fire, speed up the removal of smoke and heat. The window opens in less than a minute. A successful fire test in accordance with DIN EN 12101-2 provided further proof that this product is highly suitable for use in smoke and heat extraction systems. Electrical safety was checked according to EN 60335-1.

Since the sash is forcefully pressed, the window scores high in terms of density.

Thanks to the SBS Comfort Drive, firefighters quickly get an open view of the fire to actively fight it. The scissors efficiently exhaust smoke from escape routes and are automatically controlled from the RWA control center using fire and ventilation sensors and smoke detectors. Combined with wind and rain sensors, this solution can also be used perfectly in ventilation systems.

Also for large and heavy windows

This development is no larger than the previous model, yet is characterized by significantly higher lifting forces of up to 400 N. The space-saving drive solution for tilt and turn elements results in unprecedented architectural freedom, offers a great many possibilities for window design and meets the requirements for the project market. With the integrated synchronous operation of two hardware hinges, even large and heavy windows can be effortlessly opened and closed.

Since the sash is forcefully pressed, the window scores high in terms of tightness, and consumers see that on their energy bills. Thanks to the large opening angle, this all-rounder can also be used for controlled natural ventilation, ensuring a healthy indoor environment at all times.

Eye-catcher in the showroom

The SBS Comfort Drive will be demonstrated live in combination with a smoke and heat extraction system in the "MACO HAUTAU World," which can be visited at HAUTA's test and innovation center in Helpsen. On an area of more than 500 m², MACO and HAUTAU show there, in addition to comfort solutions for a good indoor climate, their expertise in smoke and heat extraction.
