Golden GEALAN window frames give enchanting glow to Het Boegbeeld on Scheveningen

In the early morning or late afternoon, when the sun is low in the sky, "Het Boegbeeld op Scheveningen" is at its most beautiful. The warm rays of the sun create a magical spectacle on the new showpiece thanks to the literally brilliant frames in GEALAN-acrylcolor® Gold.

The Figurehead on Scheveningen

In Scheveningen's Harbour Quarter, The Figurehead on Scheveningen was completed in late 2022. Designed by Van Wilsum Van Loon Architectuur & Stedenbouw, under the direction of contractor Stebru Bouw and commissioned by NU Projectontwikkeling. It is a six-story residential complex with various apartments, live-work studios and commercial spaces, in addition it contains a communal courtyard garden with a parking garage and bicycle storage underneath.

Its varied appearance fits perfectly into the varied building styles in the area. The interplay of shapes, colors and light has made it a real eye-catcher in Scheveningen. On all floors, Wijnsma Kozijnen used plastic window frames with innovative frame profiles from GEALAN. This means both a visually attractive solution and also the best choice in terms of functionality and durability.

For a luxurious look and plenty of light, frames with the GEALAN S 9000 NL slim system were chosen, with GEALAN-acrylcolor® in the colors DB 703 (dark gray), RAL 7016 (anthracite gray) and Gold. The sliding doors with the S 9000 system also feature GEALAN-acrylcolor® Gold. Versions that lend themselves perfectly to sophisticated, modern facades.

An enchanting glow 

All window frames are manufactured with GEALAN-acrylcolor®, a color technique that provides the coloring of the profile and also has many advantages. The hard surface is extremely colorfast, scratch-resistant and weatherproof. Van den Eerenbeemt adds: "In addition, it is easy to maintain, an aspect that is a great added value, especially for properties on the coast."

The upper floors of the complex visually form "the upper world" of The Figurehead. Inspired by the surf of the sea, the dunes and sailboats in the marina. "Architect Sanne van Loon could not have made a better color choice here," says Van den Eerenbeemt with conviction, "As soon as the sunlight shines on it, an enchanting glow is created. It has become truly beautiful!"
