Impressive addition to Eindhoven skyline

400 m2 of curtain walls and 9,400 m2 of element facades for high-rise tower Eurostaete

The realization of project Eurostaete is the impressive final piece in the area development of the Stadionkwartier in Eindhoven. Next to the Philips Stadium, the 'ugliest office in Eindhoven' will make way for 479 apartments in the free and regulated rental sector. The new residential complex forms the connecting link between the city center and Strijp-S and consists of two sturdy construction volumes of about 40 meters high, as well as a high-rise tower of about 100 meters that marks the new cross link between PSV-laan and Frederiklaan.

TGM is providing the consultancy, engineering, production, delivery and assembly of the curtain walls and element facades of the high-rise tower, based on Reynaers Aluminium's ConceptWall (CW) 60 and new ElementFaçade (EF) 7 profile systems. Also, 70 Softtone parallel-opening windows and 125 loggia windows will be processed in MasterLine 8 profiles.

In the case of Eurostaete, various add-ons are applied to the elements, in the form of fin frames or facade cladding.

Total package

TGM stands for Technical Facade Management. The company translates aesthetically challenging designs into technically and financially feasible and feasible facade solutions, which can be easily assembled and meet all required performance requirements. "As a facade expert, we provide a total package for our clients," says Ricky van Geldorp, Project Manager Netherlands at TGM. "Here we are strong in consulting, engineering the design based on the set requirements, the production of complex facades as well as the project management on construction. Every project is unique, where we relieve our customer from the start and provide the right facade solutions. We are not bound by standard systems or materials. For each project we like to take on the challenge. Reynaers Aluminium systems were chosen for project Eurostaete, so that the high-rise tower matches the adjacent stadium in both scale and material."

Reynaers Aluminium's latest element façade, ElementFaçade (EF) 7, was chosen in this project.

High quality, fast assembly

"Commissioned by contractor Stam + De Koning Bouw, we are producing and assembling approximately 400 m2 ConceptWall (CW) 60 curtain walls in the two-story plinth. Above this will be a large element façade of approximately 9,400 m2, which is delivered to the project fully prefabricated," Van Geldorp said. "All elements are constructed from Reynaers aluminum profiles and filled with glass or panels." An element façade provides many advantages over traditional façade construction, he says. "For example, the elements are produced under the right climate and labor conditions, resulting in a high quality facade product. It also shortens on-site assembly, because the product arrives at the project ready-made and just-in-time and only needs to be assembled in the right place. Last but not least, the construction logistics are reduced, by being able to process the products immediately upon arrival."

ElementFaçade 7

This project selected Reynaers Aluminium's latest element façade: ElementFaçade (EF) 7. "TGM is the first façade expert in the Netherlands to apply this new element system in a building," said a proud Van Geldorp. "In the case of Eurostaete, various add-ons are applied to the elements, in the form of a fin frame or facade cladding. Because of the tight and challenging construction site, all elements are delivered just-in-time in Eindhoven, where they are hoisted in as complete façades and immediately upon delivery. This makes three assembly days per floor sufficient, including all logistical operations."

The residential tower consists of a total of three blocks, which are clearly readable by their detailing and cantilever in different directions. Currently, TGM is assembling the last and tallest block. "In the second quarter of 2025, we will deliver our work," he said.
