Bright living spaces and a smooth transition between inside and outside. (Lift) sliding doors are increasingly used in (new-build) homes, which give a feeling of freedom and guarantee maximum daylight penetration. Thereby, (lift)sliding doors offer great advantages for residents. For frame manufacturers, however, (Lift&Slide) sliding doors mean a considerable burden on their production process, Marco van Veen of Ventana Deutschland knows. "Production requires specific know-how and takes a lot of time and storage space, which the frame manufacturers do not always have at their disposal. We are therefore happy to take the production out of their hands. Because frame manufacturers can choose from as many as 10 (!) systems at Ventana Deutschland, there is always a system available that matches their preferred system."
Since its founding in 1996, Ventana Deutschland has developed into a notable player in the window frame industry. While in the initial phase the emphasis was still on the bending of plastic profiles, in the years that followed the emphasis shifted increasingly toward the production of special window frame shapes in plastic and aluminum. In the 11,000 m2 factory in Vreden (D), a stone's throw from the Dutch border, some 270 employees daily manufacture and market KOMO-certified products with VKG seal of approval. "In addition to plastic barred frames, round frames, tumble windows, sloping frames, folding walls and (lift) sliding doors, we are the address for (lift) sliding doors, folding walls and frames in aluminum," says Van Veen, who, together with Silvia Decker and Edwin Reulink as team leaders, forms the sales team for the Dutch and Belgian markets. "Because the products are delivered neutral, the frame manufacturer can easily put his own name, logo or coding on them."
The (lift) sliding doors can be fitted with different brands of hardware, cylinders, lower sills and handle fittings, says Van Veen. Here he sees a growing demand for the color black. "We respond to this, for example, with a black rather than gray lower sill," he says. "And even the handle fittings are now available in black, creating an aesthetically high-quality whole."
In addition to the product level, the company also has its logistics processes in excellent shape. "To guarantee fast and reliable delivery times, we carry out the transport ourselves," Van Veen illustrates. "Even if orders have to be transported directly to the construction site using frame trestles. We offer a total package, allowing our customers to concentrate on their core business: producing standard window frame solutions. We gladly take care of all specials. In doing so, we take all the worries out of customers' hands."
