A new standard in doors and door designs

In its ambition to unburden craftsmen as well as deliver complete doors, Skantrae has taken a big step further with the Matching Series. "The Matching Series includes the three completely new door series Cove (panel), Glide and Carve (with groove), which are delivered ready-made to the craftsman within two weeks," says Derk van de Kuip, Product Manager at Skantrae. "In addition, we have revamped our popular SlimSeries One door series. All doors within the Matching Series are easy to combine, as they are available in the same trend colors, materials and finishes."

The doors fit into any interior style and are supplied fully painted and largely from stock, with customers also having a choice of four complete and universal hardware families. With this, Skantrae opens the door to new possibilities.

Skantrae has been a manufacturer and supplier of interior doors, exterior doors and accessories for more than 40 years. "If you look at our range, in recent years we have mainly focused on primed panel doors," says Van de Kuip. "However, we see a growing demand in the market for flatter, tighter and more modern solutions. To go along with this, we had to reinvent ourselves, so to speak. And with success, because with the Matching Series we are setting a new standard in doors and door designs!"

You make the match!

"At Skantrae, we have always believed in creating solutions that are not only functional, but also beautiful," says Niels Abbenhuis, Head of Sales at Skantrae. "With our Matching Series, we now go a step further and make combining different doors very easy indeed. This is because the doors and hardware within these series match seamlessly and fit into any interior. From classic to retro, rural or modern. The doors are delivered fully painted, in the trend colors RAL 9011 Deep Black, RAL 9010 Pure White, Natural Oak or Charcoal Oak."

The craftsman as consultant

"The professional is not necessarily an interior stylist," Abbenhuis says. "And they don't have to be. In fact, with the Matching Series we offer the helping hand to provide customized advice to consumers. Because all elements within the series are perfectly matched, you can never go wrong as a professional. In this way we try to turn every craftsman into an advisor. And architects, designers and consumers can also use the Matching Series on our website, at our dealers and in our promotional expressions for inspiration."

These are the four new door series:

- Cove, with a choice of two profiles: where the Cove One has a perpendicular profile with single bossing, the Cove Two features double bossing. In addition, both models are available in a one-panel or two-panel flush design. 

- Glide: the flat Glide doors are easy to combine with any other door and perfect for minimalist décor.

- Carve: in the modern Carve door, the grooves are at exactly the same height as the rods of the SlimSeries One doors. This makes both series perfectly compatible. 

- SlimSeries One: Skantrae's well-known industrial door, but in a new look.

Innovative new door technology

"Especially with the Cove series, we tried to introduce a completely new door series, says Van de Kuip. "This door is not built by default from components such as a style, sill and glass, but formed from a door plate from which the right model is milled at a later stage. This not only makes endless door models possible, but also allows for much tighter work. The doors are often made in one piece, making them even more stable and preventing craquelure. Not even after a long time. We will certainly build on this in the coming years."

Beautiful unit

In line with the door series, the new hardware products can also be divided into four families: Squared (square), Quadrate (rectangular), Orbit (round) and Arc (semicircular). "The door hardware of these families is suitable for sliding, hinged and pivoted doors alike and thus consists not only of door handles, but also, for example, handles, bowls and knobs that come in exactly the same shape and color," Van de Kuip said. "This allows customers to very easily select the door hardware of their favorite family and thus create a beautiful unity in their interior. The door hardware is available (depending on the family) in black, white, stainless steel, matte brass and bronze."

Unpacking and hanging

All doors are finished by Skantrae with a PU TopCoat, which provides a super strong and flexible top layer. "In addition, this PU TopCoat is wear- and scratch-resistant and prevents discoloration from direct sunlight," Abbenhuis said. "We respond to the customer's wishes to deliver the doors as complete and ready to use as possible, including treatments such as lockhole milling, arm planing and finishing. So the door is immediately ready for use! The craftsman is thus relieved and can work more efficiently. This not only saves time, but also minimizes the chance of mistakes and delays in the construction process."
