Halfway through 2024, many companies are already in full swing preparing for the 2025 Construction Fair. That includes Holonite, which will present itself together with parent company BUVA at the Utrecht Jaarbeurs. The emphasis there will be entirely on the introduction of sustainable and circular products for residential construction. Meanwhile, Holonite is pushing the envelope with new variants of their already extensive range of sub-sills. More sustainable and colorful is the message.
As to exactly what Holonite and BUVA will reveal to the public at the fair, we still have to remain in the dark. "We are making great strides in making our products more sustainable," states Patrick Zevenbergen, Sales Manager of Holonite. "In doing so, we are helping our customers, from architects to construction companies and the carpentry industry, with their own reckoning on sustainability. The standards and requirements are becoming stricter and higher, Holonite and BUVA are responding to this with more sustainable and circular products. At the Bouwbeurs, our focus will be entirely on that aspect."
Meanwhile, product development at the ambitious company continues unabated. In the area of under sills, the company carries two product lines, the Premax® and the Trimax®. "The Premax® sills are cast as composite stone," explains Zevenbergen. "These sills are hard and solid, made from quartz sand and resin and available in many colors and sizes for all kinds of applications. Trimax® are fiber-reinforced sills with three hollow chambers that make them very light yet extremely strong. We make these - the only ones in the Netherlands - in-house using the pultrusion technique. Our customers are familiar with the good properties."
Holonite has a very wide range of sills in the Premax® and Trimax® lines. "More variety has recently been added to that," continues Zevenbergen. For example, we already had a Silent Base sill for the Premax®. This type is ideal for interior residential entrance doors such as along covered galleries, where there is no water load, but sound and fire resistance are important. Now our customers can also order the Trimax® in Silent Base version.
"Also new is the Trimax® LBI 72, an extension of the 52 and 57 mm deep LBI variants. These sills are all suitable for use under front doors, but with the new, even wider sill, we are responding to the need for wider rebates in connection with increasingly thick doors. This, in turn, has to do with the stricter insulation requirements, which mean that doors are more often fitted with triple glazing. Installation is as simple as ever with screws and matching cuffs."
Zevenbergen concludes with a - for now - final piece of news: "Everyone knows our color range in the Premax® series. I can tell you that the Trimax® sills are now also available in several colors. In addition to anthracite, we have added earth brown, sand yellow, brown gray, dark gray, light gray and white. Architects thus have more choice to adapt sills to their design. Neuts are already available in the same colors."
And so now to patiently wait and see what Holonite and BUVA will present in terms of sustainable solutions at the fair.
