With Slidelite 50, the Henderson system range for closet doors is complete. The new and under-running hardware system stands out among other things because of its narrow bottom and top rails, adjustable runners and double soft-close function. Because the system can handle weights of up to 50 kg, it is ideally suited for such applications as closets, kitchen cabinets, closets and storage doors in MDF, Multiplex, HPL, wood and numerous other materials from 18 to 30 mm thick.
For more than half a century, Henderson Nederland has stood for quality and durable track systems, sliding and folding door hardware. But also for continuous development and innovation, based on interior trends and market requirements and in accordance with the highest product standards. The new Slidelite 50 undercurrent hardware for cabinet doors is an excellent example of this and can now count on great interest.
"The Slidelite 50 completes our system range for cabinet doors," says Rene van den Biggelaar, Business Unit Manager at Henderson Netherlands. "The development is the result of a range review, during which we reviewed the requirements in the market. Our range included various hardware systems for cabinet doors, the best known of which is Double Top. This system is particularly suitable for heavier cabinet doors up to 45 kg and with a height dimension of up to 2,400 mm. At its base is a pre-drilled aluminum rail for ceiling mounting, from which the total door weight is suspended. For situations where ceiling mounting is not possible or not desirable, we offered several underfloor systems that have recently been replaced by one complete solution for cabinet doors up to 50 kg: Slidelite 50."
Slidelite 50 is the ideal solution for MDF, Plywood, HPL and wood doors with bottom rollers, says Van den Biggelaar. "Slidelite 50 serves a wide range of door weights. The system is suitable for both small cabinets with light doors and large cabinets with heavy doors up to 50 kg and with a maximum dimension of 2,500 mm. A wide rail with two running surfaces provides for easy assembly, while universal runners (track rollers) ensure smooth running at all times."
The rollers can be used for both surface-mounted and flush-mounted applications, he says. "In surface-mounted situations, the rollers can simply be screwed against the back of the door panel. Panel thicknesses of 18 to 20 mm are no problem here. For recessed situations, milling a hole on the back of the door panel is sufficient. In this case, even cabinet door panels up to 30 mm thick are possible!"
The recessed option is especially recommended for larger cabinet sizes, which require a bit more strength and stability from the panels. "By tightening the rollers at the bottom and top, the panel is placed tightly between the profiles," says van den Biggelaar. "Because only 5 mm of space remains between the door panel and profile, a tight and almost invisible finish is guaranteed."
Slidelite 50 comes standard with a double softclose. "Two soft-close mechanisms are supplied for both ends of the double profile, which ensure that the door panels are caught neatly and do not hit the style. This contributes to noiseless operation and prevents the risk of trapped fingers," Van den Biggelaar concludes. Currently, Slidelite 50 is supplied in two sets, with 1.80 meters (2 doors) and 2.40 meters (3 doors) rails. Next year, the range will be further expanded, making longer lengths of up to 6 meters possible. In addition, individual system components can soon also be ordered.
