The sliding system reinvented

EcoPuls profiles already contain up to 75 % of recycled material today

Contemporary architecture is characterized by many and large areas of glass. After all, this creates bright spaces and pleasant warmth. The sliding windows and doors of the SYNEGO SLIDE profile system from REHAU open up new possibilities for architects and building owners. After all, they combine freedom of design with a pleasant living environment and an elegant connection between inside and outside. These sliding systems carry the EcoPuls label and with the KALEIDO COLOR program one can choose from more than 400 color and design variations.

Reinventing the sliding system - that's what REHAU did with SYNEGO SLIDE. This profile system combines flexibility with modern technology, timeless elegance and measurable efficiency. Architects, planners and building owners benefit, because these systems are the perfect basis for modern possibilities and new room and living concepts. The windows and doors open parallel to the wall, saving a lot of space compared to open-front systems.

"SYNEGO SLIDE is characterized by slim design profiles and scores highly in terms of density, resilience, ease of operation, safety and durability. This system is available with sliding sashes of up to 2000 by 2500 mm and contributes to a pleasant living experience thanks to its high sliding comfort," states Roberto van den Berg, account manager REHAU Window Solutions BNL. "The special sealing system and innovative closing mechanism ensure high airtightness in all weather conditions and excellent results in terms of thermal insulation - Uf up to 1.3 W/(m²K) - and noise reduction (Rw up to 44 dB). SYNEGO SLIDE Lift&Slide windows and doors achieve a resistance rating of up to SKG2 (RC2). One can also integrate the REHAU Smart Guard alarm module to detect and deter burglars before they do any damage."

EcoPulse systems

The profiles have a core made of recycled plastic, produced at REHAU with a unique extrusion process. The so-called EcoPuls profiles already consist of 40 to 75 % of recycled material and this percentage will only increase in the future. "In our recycling facilities, some 70,000 tons of old material are recycled every year for the production of new PVC profiles. Compared to the standard production of new full-core PVC, this means 88 % less CO₂ generated. In fact, PVC can be recycled and reprocessed up to 7 times with us," the account manager explains. "Sustainability and circular economy are part of our DNA."

More than 400 designs

Finally, there is the KALEIDO COLOR color range. With this one can choose from more than 400 designs: classic white or black, warm wood motifs, aluminum looks, glossy finishes, traditional with foil or sprayed design. The inside and outside color can even be different and the inside of the profile can also be sprayed - all tailored to the consumer's taste.

"KALEIDO COVER stands for aluminum faceplates, allowing one to combine the look of aluminum profiles with the technical advantages of plastic frames. KALEIDO WOODEC with a pronounced wooden look and feel, a matte finish and deep relief ensures that one can hardly distinguish PVC and wooden windows from each other," indicates Roberto van den Berg. 

"KALEIDO FOIL is a proven technique using a two-layer PVC film: a base film in the desired color and a transparent top layer, which protects against discoloration and environmental influences. Finally, there is our high-quality KALEIDO PAINT paint applied in several coats with a gloss or matte finish - scratch and impact resistant, weather and temperature resistant and easy to clean. New windows and doors are an investment for the future. The highest level of quality and durability is therefore a priority."
