Customers are becoming more and more demanding, and as a manufacturer you have to provide a solution every time. This can be done by developing new products or further optimizing existing systems. According to aluplast, the smart-slide sliding system had quickly become the market leader in the "closed sliding elements" product category. In the meantime, the manufacturer has further developed this successful system and the new generation is available under the name smart-slide neo.
For more than 40 years now, innovation tailored to the customer has been a cornerstone of the success of the specialist in window and door systems. In the past, for example, aluplast's R&D department pioneered adhesive technology for window production and with powerdur, a special fiberglass-reinforced plastic, the use of steel is reduced to a minimum or even eliminated. They are also working daily to further optimize existing products. At an event in the Allianz Arena during BAU Munich, for example, the manufacturer presented the new generation of the well-known and proven smart-slide sliding system, which records even better values and offers even more design options: smart-slide neo.
"During the development of the smart-slide neo, we primarily ensured that the product advantages of the original smart-slide sliding system were retained: short production times, simple operation and hardware neutrality. However, our intention was to further improve the values in terms of thermal insulation, statics, density and sound insulation, and tests have shown that we have completely succeeded in our aim," says CEO Patrick Seitz. "Like all neo products, smart-slide neo is available as standard in the new surfaces aludec and woodec. Processing has also been improved and above all simplified: the seal is now already applied at the factory so that manual processing is no longer necessary."
The smart-slide was originally designed as a simple sliding solution. But over the years, the number of applications has gradually increased. Indeed, aluplast's customers have successfully built and sold the product as a high-quality sliding window, which can be integrated, for example, in the kitchen above the kitchen sink or in a small room where a tilt-and-turn window is more difficult to use because it would take up too much space. In this way, the space in front of the window can be used optimally - as a work surface or to decorate the windowsill.
"We proudly present this new generation of our sliding system. Smart-slide neo meets all the functional requirements that the market places on a sleek sliding element. And that with a modern, attractive design," concludes Patrick Seitz. "The feedback we received after the launch at the Allianz Arena was positive across the board. We are convinced that our customers will benefit from the improvements. They felt that this product is already pushing boundaries in terms of design and functionality."
